House Passes 2018 Farm Bill
Yesterday the House passed the Conference Report to Accompany H.R. 2, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, commonly referred to as the Farm Bill:
American farmers work tirelessly to feed, clothe, fuel, and sustain our nation and world. These hardworking men and women deserve a Farm Bill that provides the support and stability they need when preparing for their next harvest and beyond. While this final package does not address several of the issues that we first set out to rectify in the 2018 Farm Bill, we have made great strides to maintain the programs that work for our farmers and curtail regulations that have hindered the agricultural community in the past. Thank you to House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway and the committees’ ongoing efforts to support those who selflessly work from sunup to sundown to keep our world running.
