Congressman Tony Gonzales Announces $2 Million HHS Grant For Del Rio Head Start Program

I announced a $2,527,857 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the Head Start Program in Del Rio. In May, I visited the Head Start in Del Rio to see firsthand the benefits of the program. I previously served as the Community Representative for the City of San Antonio Head Start Policy Council from 2018 – 2019.

This funding for the Head Start program in Del Rio will provide crucial help and benefits students and families across our district. I am thrilled to see such a significant investment from HHS to Del Rio. As a former member of the San Antonio Head Start Policy Council, I understand how vital the Head Start programs are to ensuring our kids have access to the best resources available to them.
