Gooden Leads GOP Effort to Stop WHO Global Takeover

On Friday, I sent a letter opposing any additional authority or resources for the World Health Organization (WHO) that would compromise the sovereignty of the United States.

The United States, not the WHO, should be the deciding voice when it comes to public health policy decisions within the sovereign borders of our nation. The Biden Administration’s proposal before the World Health Assembly is nothing short of an extreme step toward a one world government, and Congress must do everything in our power to stop it from happening.

The World Health Assembly, which is the governing body of the WHO, is being held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 22nd to 28th. The assembly is expected to consider granting WHO additional authorities related to international contact tracing, digital vaccine cards, and the declaration of public health emergencies in member nations.

I joined the Sean Hannity radio show on Monday to discuss his concerns and his letter to the Biden Administration. You can listen to their conversation here.

Rep. Gooden’s letter was cosigned by Reps. David Schweikert (R-AZ), Andrew S. Clyde (R-GA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Warren Davidson (R-OH), Ken Buck (R-CO), Yvette Herrell (R-NM), Ben Cline (R-VA), Paul A. Gosar (R-AZ), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Randy Weber (R-TX), and Byron Donalds (R-FL).
