New Yorkers Give Terrorists the Middle Finger!

The new tower built around the 9/11 memorial is a reminder of American ingenuity and American resolve as a new and bigger tower is built on the real estate where the original towers were brought down. Consider the tower New York giving the middle finger to terrorists as New Yorkers simply rebuilt the tower. The memorial is divided into two parts, the first being the actual buildings that will surround the memorial, and the second part is the creation of hallow grounds as fountains are built where the old towers stood and the fountains are surrounded by the names of those who perished. A museum will soon be completed, reminding Americans of what happened and why.

The buildings are just part of the American spirit that could break the back of our adversity if we are allowed. We are on the verge of being energy independent with the fracking revolution allowing us to grab energy thought unavailable, and in the process, provide us with leverage over our adversity. No longer will we be dependent upon our enemies for our energy supply, but we will be the ones supplying the world with energy.

The biggest obstacles to developing our energy sources are not the lack of energy sources but government policies preventing us from developing our sources. The administration's war on coal and the attack on fracking threaten our ability to develop our energy sources and be truly energy independent. Fracking for natural gas has led to an increase in use of these clean burning energy sources and even led to a decrease in our C02 emissions as market forces work to allow this least expensive energy source to be competitive with coal. If you fear man-induced climate change, then fracking is the solution. (But to base a policy on a theory still searching for facts to support it is hardly a brilliant policy, but it is what dominates the thinking of this administration and a good portion of the left.)

Just as New Yorkers are rebuilding the 9/11 areas destroyed over twelve years ago, we can rebuild our energy industry. By rebuilding our energy industry, we can not only add high paying jobs to our economy, but we can give those energy producing countries that wish us ill the middle finger. The tower is a reminder that Americans will rebuild after tragedy, and now we have a chance to build an energy industry superior to much of the world. The spirit that rebuilt the new tower can be used to make us the leading energy producer worldwide. Can anyone really explain why this policy would be bad for America and the World?
