A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing: The Disguised Socialism of Saul Alinsky

This 60-minute docu-drama presents a Catholic response to the life and thought of a 1960s community organizer whose “Rules for Radicals” impacts the thinking of many in politics today as well some in the church, especially in the area of social justice.

Tonight, EWTN will host a docu-drama on Socialist Saul Alinsky. For those of you that have followed me for the last eight years this should be an excellent program to watch and digest the information I am hoping it will reveal.

As you will recall one of my very first emails to the Conservatives in Action was based on the Rules for Radicals dated November 15, 2008. Here are some excerpts:

Please PRINT these rules and read them carefully. I will in the future refer to these rules and you will understand when and how they were used. These rules will be applied over and over in the next 4 years and we MUST understand that this is their way of life. As Christians we were brought up that “the Means do not justify the Ends”. THE SAUL ALINSKY RULES are WIN AT ALL COSTS

Son sees father’s handiwork in convention August 31, 2008
Barack Obama's training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well
Alinsky’s son, L. David Alinsky, credits Obama for “learning his lesson well” from the Communist guru.

Saul Alinsky dedicates his book, “Rules for Radicals” to Lucifer.
“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer"

An Injury to one is an injury to all

"Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat."

"Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

"The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself."

"In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it."

"One of the criteria for picking the target is the target's vulnerability ... the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract.

"The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength."

Of course, Republicans reaction to all this is to immediately go on the defensive. Seldom do they unleash their pit bull orators or strategists. Rather than use the immense amount of data available to prove the conservative case, Republicans tug their forelocks, say "yes sir," and hope the accusations and name calling will go away.

I also wrote a more detailed account March 23, 2013 connecting San Antonio to Saul Alinsky: SAUL ALINSKY AND HIS CONNECTION TO SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

Hopefully the docu-drama will not disappoint, especially since we are going through some very chaotic times in America. Americans no longer seem to want to hear the truth as the truth has become too painful and Americans would much rather listen to soothing lies or worse they want a hammer to forcibly bring about change.
