Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act

President Trump signed the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act, H.R. 2288, into law this past Wednesday.

Since first being elected to Congress, I’ve been fighting for our veterans to get the care they were promised and earned and I was glad to see President Trump sign the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act this afternoon. The changes made by this law will increase efficiency at the VA and reduce the current VA appeals wait time.

This bill passed the House 418-0. Despite the misconception being created by the liberal media, Congress is working across party lines to pass important legislation like this.

The Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act will fix the current VA appeals process by creating an entirely new process for appealing decisions in a more timely manner.

Currently, if a veteran disagrees with a decision regarding their VA benefits they can file an appeal with the VA. This can be a very lengthy process because there are currently 470,000 pending VA appeals.
