Florida's Presidency 5 Thurs-Sat, FL Gov. Rick Scott Predicts Winner of Straw Poll will be Next U.S. President

Florida's Presidency 5 event kicks off this Thursday with a Faith and Freedom Coalition rally followed by the Fox News Presidential Debate at 9pm EST. Friday, the American Conservative Union is holding its CPAC-FL conference featuring the presidential candidates as well as conservative leaders such as Senator Marco Rubio, FL Governor Rick Scott, and former U.S. House Majority Leader Dick Armey. Then Saturday, the presidential candidates will address the over 3,000 P5 delegates from all over Florida for a straw poll.

Florida Governor Rick Scott spoke of the importance of Saturday's Straw Poll on Fox and Friends, stating:

“So I believe whoever wins this straw poll on Saturday will be the Republican nominee and I believe the Republican nominee will be the next President.”

He went on to explain:

"You have to win Florida. You cannot win the presidency if you do not win Florida. We have almost 19 million people. It's a diverse state. We've got every demographic group in the country. It'll be the first big primary. All of the other primaries that will be ahead of us will be smaller in total than we are, so you've got to win Florida, you've got to get our delegates."
