Backing Paul Ryan’s Call to Unite Behind Next Speaker

Paul Ryan essentially challenged House Republicans to answer this question: Are we committed strongly enough to changing the direction of America that we will change how we do our work? To that end, can we start fresh with a redesigned Speaker’s role, more power delegated to rank-and-file members and their committees to drive our agenda, and to unite behind whomever is the next Speaker of the House?
Those are the crucial elements for House Republicans to succeed. And Paul made it clear that if we can’t unify behind him and a fresh bottoms-up approach he is happy where he is as chairman of the Ways & Means Committee.
