Congressman Pat Fallon Introduces Term-Limit Legislation

I introduced a Joint Resolution to implement term limits for members of the United States House of Representatives and Senate.

This bill would limit members in the House of Representatives to eight terms or sixteen years. Members of the Senate would be barred from holding office after three terms or eighteen years.

I issued the following statement:

“Right now, there are far too many career politicians in our federal government. In order to best represent our constituents, members of Congress need to keep a pulse on the district they represent. Individuals that spend 20, 30, or even 40 years in Congress are far too disconnected from the American people.

That is why I am proud to introduce this Joint Resolution. Term Limits are a crucial first step in cleaning up the mess that is Washington, D.C.”
