Congressman Pat Fallon Issues the Following Statement on the America Concedes Act

Friday, the United States House of Representatives passed the America COMPETES Act.

I issued the following statement:

"Combatting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) must be a top priority for the United States. Unfortunately, Democrats' America COMPETES Act does nothing to properly prevent China from stealing our intellectual property, hold them accountable for the COVID-19 pandemic, or address their continued military aggressions towards Taiwan.

Instead of prioritizing the protection of American interests, Democrats introduced and passed legislation that appeases the CCP. I am proud to join my colleagues in a resounding 'no' vote on this legislation. I will continue to use my position on the House Armed Services Committee to pursue real deterrence of the Chinese regime."
