Congressman Tony Gonzales Announces Over $1 Million for Airport Improvements

I announced $1,080,594 in funding from the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) for airport updates across Texas’ 23rd Congressional District.

Grants will be awarded to the following airports within the district:

• $225,000 in state funding to prepare an Airport Layout Plan update with Business Plan at Castroville Municipal Airport.
• $225,000 in federal funding to prepare an Airport Layout Plan update at Cotulla-LaSalle County Airport.
• $630,594 in federal funding for pavement improvements at Garner Field.

I am excited to announce significant funding for airport updates and pavement improvements across our district. As travel returns to normalcy across the state, it is crucial that our airports have the appropriate resources they need to operate efficiently and effectively to accommodate all passengers.
