U.S. Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and I released the following statements after President Trump announced his intention to nominate John Garrison as U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Texas in Tyler:
Having served 28 distinguished years with the U.S. Marshals Service in the Eastern District of Texas, John is a prime candidate to lead the office. I applaud the President for his nomination of John Garrison, and I look forward to supporting his swift confirmation in the Senate.
“John Garrison has served the Eastern District of Texas with distinction and professionalism for 28 years, and I urge his swift confirmation,” Sen. Cruz said. “I’m grateful President Trump has nominated him to be the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District, where he will continue to serve East Texans well.”
