Fighting Against Human Trafficking

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a time to spread awareness about this horrific form of modern day slavery and how we can stop it.

This month, I introduced the bipartisan Stop Human Trafficking in School Zones Act— legislation to increase penalties for human trafficking offenses involving children — along with Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. As a father of five, I’m proud to introduce this bill to further punish those who dare to commit such a disgusting crime.
