Gonzales: “Every American deserves a nation that is safe...these are fundamental rights.”

On Friday I joined House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23), Republican Whip Steve Scalise (LA-01) and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (NY-21) and other Members of the House Republican Conference to introduce the House GOP’s “Commitment to America.”

“Democrats have spent the past two years promoting policies that have made the country less safe and less prosperous, with no plan to fix it. But Republicans do,” I said. “We are committed to an economy that is strong, a nation that is safe, a future that is free, and a government that is accountable.”

During this event, House Republicans heard directly from the American people who are suffering under Democrats’ failed and divisive policies that have led to record inflation, deadly crime and drug overdoses, and historic illegal immigration.
