HealthCare.gov Offline for Weekend “Maintenance”

Maintenance implies that something was once WORKING, and Healthcare.gov certainly was not. According to a Fox News report:

The problem-plagued HealthCare website will be shut down Saturday night for “extended” repairs, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Technicians have shut down HealthCare.gov during weekends since the site launched Oct. 1 but just for a few overnight hours.

The site will go offline this weekend from 9 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

I’m not even sure why the Fed felt the need to make an announcement, given that the ObamaCare site is down a lot more than it’s been up. Look at the numbers.

Day 1, a whopping SIX (6) people signed up. By Day 2, the number had grown to 248 people! Yikes! At that rate, ObamaCare will have insured over 1,000,000 people by next century!

And I’m not joking!

If the meantime between failure (MTBF) is 248 people before site maintenance of 1.5 days, ObamaCare expects to sign up 7 million peeps, that’s 28,226 times the site will be down.

Doubling that number to account for 1.5 days of maintenance, and ObamaCare will need to be down 116 years, before the financial “break even” point.

ObamaCare’s motto: Just don’t get sick!
