Hillary Clinton Lacks Truthfulness in Recent Hearing

Last week, the House Select Committee on Benghazi interviewed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on what she knew about the attacks that killed four Americans in Libya in 2012. The hearing comes more than three years after the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya John Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and two CIA contractors, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. Clinton is still hostile and defensive when asked to explain how this happened on her watch. Indeed, her attitude during the hearings so far shows a former Secretary of State who believes getting to the truth is a waste of her time.

During the hearing, there was clear evidence that Clinton knew from nearly day one that the attacks were not based on a viral video, as she told to the American people. It's clear that she willingly and deliberately withheld the truth and lied to the American people and the families of those who died. In the hearing, it was obvious from the stacks of communications between Clinton and Stevens in 2011 that tensions in Libya were heating up and then, during the months leading up to the attack, Stevens’ requests for added security were denied. If Clinton had communicated with Ambassador Stevens as often as she did with her close friend and political advisor, Sydney Blumenthal, those lives could have been saved. Sadly, the liberal media claimed “victory” for Clinton as they gave her a pass for creating her own rules and breaking the law.
