House Judiciary to hold a second hearing on Planned Parenthood

A second hearing examining abortion procedures and medical ethics at the nation’s largest abortion provider will be held on October 8. During the first hearing, we heard Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards admit that the organization has transferred $22 million from its non-profit, 501(c)3 to its 501(c)4 that can use funds for political purposes.

We know that money is being used to fund Democratic campaigns and lobbying efforts rather than going to women’s health care. We also know that Planned Parenthood spent more than $600,000 last year alone on parties. This is an organization that is lavishly spending taxpayer funds that were supposed be spent on women's healthcare. That is why I support giving taxpayer dollars to Federally Qualified Community Health Centers that that will do a better job of providing care.
