Looking Forward to the 115th Congress

It has been my privilege to represent you in Congress and I look forward to do so in the upcoming session. We all know Washington is broken and in need of new leadership. I look forward to working with President Trump in the 115th Congress and helping to make America great again.

Much of my time during the Obama administration was spent trying to stop bad policies the president was proposing and reign in excessive regulations his executive branch agencies were proposing. I am looking forward to going on offense to secure the border, repeal Obamacare, reduce regulation and the size of government, fix the VA, repair our infrastructure, simplify and lower taxes, bring jobs back and lots more. I am excited about the opportunities ahead.

I believe the House of Representatives will work well with President Trump. Unfortunately, unlike in President Obama’s first two years, the president’s party won’t have the 60 votes to end a filibuster. I’m hopeful the leadership of a more united House of Representatives and Donald Trump’s deal-making skills will bring the Senate along to do what must be done to make this nation even greater.

I just arrived in Washington Monday, and I can tell you we have a lot of things on our plate. I need your help, support, suggestions and prayers.
