Patrick Von Dohlen for San Antonio Council District 9

San Antonio has a great opportunity to elect a man of action, integrity and leadership. Patrick von Dohlen is campaigning to win a seat on the San Antonio city council for District 9. He and his family are active participants in this district.  He is a partner with the financial business of Von Dohlen Knuffke Group in San Antonio, Texas. As a resident of District 9 for the last 10 years, he understands and cares deeply about the issues that are significant to this community, located on the city’s far Northside.

As a financial planner and business owner, Von Dohlen has the acumen to be an independent voice for the taxpayer.  He intends to prioritize the city budget and to make it obvious to the public.  At a recent fund raiser he said, “Taxpayer money needs to be protected.” He believes that the city of San Antonio has been nationalized with the previous mayor and now needs to be brought back to the local city government and to the citizens of San Antonio.

According to Von Dohlen, “We certainly have a need for pedestrian mobility and street modifications in District 9.   And, we have a need for a senior center in our district.” Unfortunately he continues, “There is little to no allocation for public safety facilities in District 9, which is a top priority for residents in our area. When coupled with over $8M dollars in public art (citywide) and a $13M Land Bridge, I feel we missed a huge opportunity to be responsible with taxpayer monies.”

Von Dohlen will be a strong advocate for family values and will bring a fair approach to legislative transparency to the people of San Antonio.

His many supporters include former Senator Glenn Kothmann, former state representative Frank Corte, former congressman Quico Canseco and Ken Mercer, SBOE District 5 member.

Early voting began Monday April 24 and will go through May 2, 2017.  Election Day is Saturday May 6.
