President Trump Pursues Peace and Prosperity In The Middle East
With conflict raging on across the Middle East, President Trump announced he plans to travel to the region next week to convene a Gulf States summit, with hopes of discussing a variety of topics, including a solution to the ongoing war in Gaza. This critical meeting comes on the cusp of the president’s announcement of a ceasefire between the U.S. and the Houthi rebels, who have continuously attacked U.S. interests in the Red Sea for years.
As Chairman Emeritus of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I have been tracking the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East closely, and I met with the King of Jordan this week to hear his thoughts as one of our strongest strategic partners in the region. President’s Trump's trip — which is set to include stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates — will provide him with yet another opportunity to continue fighting for peace worldwide, as he has since day one of his administration.
I joined Martha MacCallum to talk about regional stability in the Middle East, President Trump’s upcoming trip to the region, and more on Fox News’ The Story above.
