Rep. Roy Issues Statement on Service Members Killed in Kabul

I issued the following statement Thursday:

My prayers are with the families of the service members killed in action today in Kabul. To those who give the last full measure of devotion in service to this Republic, its citizens owe a debt of gratitude that we can never fully repay. 

It should not have been this way, and it did not have to be. This attack was invited by a feckless and incompetent Administration that has failed in its most fundamental tasks of protecting the American people. It came at a moment of projected weakness at a time when it was unclear whether this administration would even be able or willing to get all of our stranded citizens out.

It is time for this chaos to end. The United States must respond swiftly and unequivocally to this brazen and cold-blooded attack on our service members.
