Rep. Van Duyne Leads Letter to Biden Over Unprecedented Israel Trip

This week, I sent a letter to President Biden urging him to reconsider his unprecedented trip to East Jerusalem.
 
The President embarks today on a visit to East Jerusalem, a destination no U.S. President has travelled to and which our close ally Israel opposes.
 
The letter said in part, “A visit to East Jerusalem will reward the Palestinian Authority, which continues to support acts of terrorism including the most recent violent clashes and attacks against Israeli civilians on the Temple Mount."

"[This] visit would be viewed as a sign of continued support for the Palestinians in their illegitimate efforts to claim East Jerusalem and give the perception of future funding."
