Socializing with Indivisible Denton

Indivisible Denton asserts that their agenda is merely “being involved in political activity that’s democratic in nature “and their actions are “no more radical than that”[i], while attempting to discredit and savage the record of Congressman Burgess with misinformation, fabrications and outright lies. Their attempt to portray themselves as independent citizen patriots is belied by their association with former President Obama’s group Organizing for Action (OFA).

While the Indivisible Denton website implores recruits to “socialize with us”, OFA’s website documents this unprecedented action by an ex-president by saying it obtained its “digital assets from the ex-president’s reelection effort and that he inspired the movement”. This shadow government has the purpose of obstructing President Trump efforts at every turn and implementing their liberal socialist agenda on gun control, healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change and immigration reform. OFA members are emboldened by the ex-president’s message of, “Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished. Organizations around the country are fighting for change …….Commit to this work……” With Obama’s top staffers directing this group, in tandem with a liberal judiciary to legislate their liberal agenda from the bench, and a war chest of over $40 million, his continued plans are in place to destroy the foundations upon which our country were founded.[ii]

Tactics Dictate Strategy

The tactics employed by Indivisible Denton are straight from Obama’s mentor Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. The overarching principal follows:

“The real action is in the enemy’s reaction.

The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.

The driving force of the Alinsky model is in the action, specifically in guiding the action in such a way that you cause your enemy to react rather than act.”[iii]

Alinsky’s Rule 10 states, “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” [iv]This is further illustrated by Indivisible Denton’s Moral Monday demonstrations at Congressman Burgess’ office, with the hopes that unceasing pressure will result in reactions from Congressman Burgess’ office that can be capitalized upon. Invisible Denton’s Moral Mondays are solely meant to undermine Congressman Burgess’ commitment to protect his constituents’ rights articulated in the Declaration of Independence and allowed under the powers given to Congress under the Constitution.

Neither Tactics nor Strategy Needed

Congressman Burgess has stated. “If my congressional career is over as a consequence of passing things through Congress that make things better, I’m okay with that, we’re even.”

Nice try, but no cigar Indivisible Denton!
