Turner, Leader McCarthy Tour Wright-Patterson, Receive National Security Briefing
This week House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and I toured the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) and received a national security briefing at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
House Republican Leader McCarthy is no stranger to Wright-Patterson and I am glad to welcome him here again. Military readiness is crucial in protecting our nation against the malign attempts of our adversaries to undermine our national security. Leader McCarthy and I will continue to support our military men and women here at Wright-Patterson and advocate they receive the necessary resources and funding to be successful.
"As this community knows all too well, intelligence is key to advancing our national security mission, and each of you should be proud of the role you are playing in supporting America’s defense,” said Leader McCarthy. “You have an incredible advocate in House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Michael Turner who personally understands the uniqueness and importance of the work that happens at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.”
Background on Wright-Patterson:
Congressman Turner has been a staunch supporter of the men and women at WPAFB over the years and advocated for funding to improve overall quality of life at the base and increase Wright-Patt's competitiveness nationally.
WPAFB is home to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, which is the Department of Defense’s primary source for foreign air and space threat analysis. The base employs 50,000 men and women in the OH-10 region.
