Turner Responds to Finland Selecting F-35 as New Fighter

As Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee Strategic Forces Subcommittee, I released the following statement after Finland selected the F-35 as their multi-role fighter:

The F-35 is the premier fighter to counter Russia and China. Finland’s decision to purchase F-35s will strengthen our strategic relationship and enhance our militaries’ interoperability. Most importantly, this decision signals to our adversaries Finland’s commitment to joining like-minded nations to preserve peace.
