TX Speaker of the House, Joe Straus, Discusses Balancing the Budget and Job Creation

Speaker of the Texas House, Joe Straus, explains that the first thing he plans to do in the upcoming session is to balance the budget. He estimates Texas to have a $18 billion shortfall, but he is committed to balancing the budget without raising taxes for Texans.

He also discusses his plans to help the general business climate in Texas in order to decrease the unemployment rate. Representative Straus says that Texas Republican leadership has done a good job of continuing business investment and allowing the private sector to invest in businesses.

I'm sorry to have ever called myself a Republican!  I always thought that Republicans usually did what was best for the American people,  and now, when for the first time in 35 years, I find myself among the unemployed with no emergency help from our government!  Yet you turn your head at giving millions to Pakistan....a terrorist country, and leave the American people out to dry for the sake of "Balancing" the budget!  Hogwash!  I will vote for NONE of you in re-election!
