Hispanic Republican Conference of Texas House of Representatives Endorses Gov. Rick Perry for President of the United States
Citing Texas Governor Rick Perry's record on bringing resources to the Texas Border to help with Border Security, Texas State Representative Aaron Pena announced that the Hispanic Republican Conference of the Texas House of Representatives has today endorse Gov. Perry for the Republican Primary Election for the office of President of the United States.
In an exclusive interview with TexasGOPVote, Mr. Pena described why Border Security is an important issue to the people of his district, the State of Texas and the United States as a whole.
"We wanted to be one of the first in the nation to take a position" Pena said. He said if the Governor hasn't made up his mind, "We want to give him a little push."
Pena went on to discuss why he became the 100th Republican member of the Texas Legislature this year as he changed parties earlier this year. He also discussed the Hispanic Republican Conference's HCR 88, a resolution calling on the US Government to excercise its duties to secure our borders and repair our broken immigration system.
Mr. Pena's leadership could pave the way for other conservatives in South Texas to come back to their core values and become Republicans in time for the 2012 election.
Will Gov. Perry run for President? I guess only his hairdresser knows for sure. But one thing is for certain, he has the support of this group of Conservative Texas leaders!
