U.S. Citizen Naturalization Ceremony

This week, I also had the privilege of witnessing ten new Americans take their oath of citizenship in San Angelo, welcoming them as citizens of the greatest country on earth. Legal immigration, the path chosen by these individuals, is one of the pillars on which America was built. Our Founding Fathers regarded the desire to immigrate to America as a source of pride and patriotism, and that is exactly how I felt in the presence of these ten new citizens.

The dedication and perseverance these individuals demonstrated throughout their journey to citizenship is truly inspiring. Each of them has embraced the American Dream, believing in freedom and democracy, and recognizing that America is a nation worth protecting and fighting for.
