West Texas Drive invites Sullivan and Adams to on-air Immigration Debate
West Texas Drive (KRFE AM 580 – Lubbock) has offered its weekday afternoon radio venue to host an immigration debate between Michael Quinn Sullivan of Empower Texans/Texans for Fiscal Responsibility and Norman Adams of Texans for Sensible Immigration Policy.
Recently, each organization has published and exchanged positions on driver permits to undocumented immigrants (see Empower Texans and TXSIP). We believe a great many Texans would be eager to hear the two engage one another directly.
While others have graciously offered to host an organized debate, the West Texas Drive offer would provide an accessible venue with a broad calendar flexibility by which each respective party could simply call-in and be heard on-air and online. Moreover, the discussion would also be recorded and posted to the program’s website archives.
True to the program’s aim to engage the issues that matter to West Texans, as well as the need in Texas for substantive debates leading into campaign season, West Texas Drive is pleased to offer its forum for this important discussion.
To date, an invitation has been offered to both parties. Only Norman Adams has accepted so far.
