(VIDEO, PHOTOS) Occupy Wall Street Protests in New York City Columbus Day

The Occupy Wall Street in New York City on Columbus Day (October 10, 2011) had a full spectrum of arts and dance participation and included appearances by Al Sharpton and Dick Gregory (PICTURES and VIDEO). The "Occupy Everything" movement, still in its infancy, was by all appearances still a peaceful event with mixed message and many cranky demonstrators. New Yorks crowd was ethnically, culturally and socioeconomically diverse, compared to Occupy DCs largely monochromatic representation and Occupy Phillys "preppies mingling with the homeless and less fortunate" look (see prior posts). The spectrum was on display on Columbus Day in New York, though many there protested Columbus as having started all the problems!

Meanwhile, did this movement start spontaneously? New evidence shows from the Breitbart OWS files shows that the "Occupy Washington DC movement is working with well-known media members to craft its demands and messaging while these media members report on the movement".
