An Eighth Planned Parenthood Video

Last week, another shocking video was released exposing top officials at Planned Parenthood selling aborted baby body parts. Our nation should not tolerate these radical practices and we must do more to defend these precious lives. That is why I continue to lead the fight for pro-life initiatives and why I fully support Congressional action to defund Planned Parenthood—an organization that receives $500 million in taxpayer funding. Recently, Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) introduced S.1881, a bill to defund Planned Parenthood and redirect its funding to other health care clinics. According to the Susan B. Anthony List, there are 38 Planned Parenthood locations in Texas alone. But for every Planned Parenthood location there are 19 health care clinics where women can access health care options that respect the sanctity of life. Senator Ernst’s bill is a common sense solution that advances women’s health services while protecting our unborn. I am hopeful more pro-life measures receive votes when Congress returns to Washington in September.
