The Precious Value of Life

Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17) was an original co-sponsor of H.R. 26- The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This legislation requires necessary medical care for children who survive abortion procedures and imposes criminal penalties for failure to provide such care. Additionally, the bill protects women upon whom abortions have been performed from prosecution. 

Congressman Sessions has always emphasized the sanctity of human life. Following the passage of the legislation, Congressman Sessions said, “The life of every child and person is precious, and I will never stop defending the rights of the most vulnerable among us. I am strongly pro-life, but this bill should be undisputedly supported by all Americans. This legislation concerns infants who survive horrible circumstances and mothers who are left in an extremely vulnerable position. Both are now mandated to receive necessary medical attention. In total, this bill protects our most fundamental right: the right to life.”
