Reagan 99 Initiative

The Republican National Committee is planning a full year of exciting events, programs and initiatives to commemorate the life of President Ronald Reagan. The Reagan 99 Initiative is a celebration of the president’s legacy as we countdown to his 100th birthday in February 2011. This program is an opportunity for Republicans to honor, perpetuate and continue the legacy of our 40th President of the United States while mobilizing supporters and volunteers to help us win elections in November.

Sign-up to be a Reagan 99 Coalition member and help recruit 99 volunteers to Texas this year! The RNC’s Reagan 99 Volunteer Recruitment Initiative asks supporters to help recruit 99 volunteers to every state this year. Reagan Coalition members will recruit a total of 4,950 volunteers to help Republican candidates win in 2010. With 4,950 volunteers, the Reagan 99 Coalition will add an additional 14,850 hours to phone banking efforts (3 hours per volunteer) and 19,800 hours to door knocking effort (4 hours per volunteer). In addition, the coalition has the power to make 396,000 campaign contacts when volunteers contact 10 people each week between September and Election Day.

RNC Coalitions will highlight an alumni member of the Reagan administration on the Reagan 99 blog each day starting 99 days before Election Day. Please nominate Reagan alumni to be featured in the Reagan 99 Faces spotlight by e-mailing the RNC Coalitions Department at [email protected].
