Rebranding Muslims as Environmentalists

This article appeared last month on "Muslim Media Ticker" regarding a "CNN belief" interview with Ibrahim Abdul-Matin about rebranding Muslims from terrorists to environmentalists. So you might be asking: what's the difference? That's a good question, however perhaps more important is observing how the dots get connected: environmentalism as the fundamental philosophical doctrine and core belief system of the left - plus - Islam as the religion to carry its message!

More concisely put, Islam is the "Green Deen," and it all comes together in "Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet," a new book by Ibrahim Abdul-Matin. Ibrahim knows what he's talking about too! He's a policy advisor in New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability!

What exactly is a green deen? According to Abdul-Matin:

Green has become the catch-all word for being environmentally friendly. Deen in Arabic means religion but can also be translated to path or way. So a green deen is literally an environmentally friendly religion.

So does this mean radical Muslims are going to start waging terrorist attacks in the name of "Allah" and "environmentalism"?!
