Brandon Darby is a former radical-left activist who was widely recognized as a leader in the liberal/anarchist social advocacy and protest scene. He gained international attention for helping found the Common Ground Collective in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which sought to rescue stranded residents, provide medical services, and rebuild housing. After coming to a realization that the intentions of many of those he worked with in New Orleans were more centered around using the destruction of the Hurricane to foment a leftist revolution rather than help those in need, Darby, whose heart remained set on charity, started to become disillusioned with the radical-left. After returning to Texas from New Orleans, he continued discovering that the "social justice" goals of those he had previously associated with had a dark underbelly set on violent political ends. These revelations eventually led him to become an FBI informant after a Palestinian activist colleague asked for Darby's assistance in channeling money from his innocent-sounding Palestinian Children's Welfare Fund to support groups that would use violence against Israelis. In his role as an informant, Darby played a key part in exposing a plot by liberal activists to bomb the 2008 Republican National Convention with molotov coctails.

After the media and leftist organizations nationwide began to target him in the wake of the 2008 Convention, Darby was befriended by Andrew Breitbart, who gave him an online platform through which he could tell his side of the story. Now, Darby is a writer for Breitbart News, where his expertise in liberal organizing and protest tactics has led him to follow in Andrew's footsteps as a bold fighter to expose the left and fight the "democrat-media complex." Apart from his writing, he is widely revered as a conservative hero and travels the country speaking at tea parties and to conservative groups, and was recently featured in Andrew Breitbart's last film project, "Occupy Unmasked."
