Republican Party Hosts Historic Hispanic Leadership Meeting

The following came in from the Republican Party of Texas:

Today, Republican Party of Texas State Chairman Steve Munisteri will be joining several members of the State Republican Executive Committee in welcoming conservative Hispanic leaders to a historic conference at the Republican Party State Headquarters in Austin.

"As part of our Party's continuing efforts to strengthen relationships with the Hispanic population of Texas, I am very pleased to be taking part in this historic meeting today," said Munisteri. "The Republican Party of Texas is absolutely committed to building relationships and communication with all Texas citizens who care about the future of our state. Throughout Texas, Republicans are making great strides in both participation and outreach among Hispanics, despite the efforts of the liberal Democrats to drive wedges between us."

Munisteri's comments were seconded by event organizer, and State Republican Executive Committee member Jane Burch, Senate District 9 - "Today we are creating history - for the first time, all the political conservative Hispanic organizations in Texas have come together with the leadership of the Republican Party of Texas to change the political face of our State and Country. As a proud Latino Republican, I am very proud of what our Party is accomplishing in the Hispanic communities."

Leaders and representatives will be in attendance from the following organizations:

Latino National Republican Coalition, Republican National Hispanic Assembly, Conservative Hispanic Society, Hispanic Republicans of Texas, The Americano & Texas Puentes Initiative, Grass Roots Institute of Texas, GOP IS FOR ME.
