God vs Religion

The Bible say, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added onto you.” Many people believe that the Kingdom of God can be found through religion. Jesus said, “There would be those that came after him, who would be using his name but that they would be wolves in sheep’s clothing.” Is it possible to be religious and at the same time be ungodly? The men who crashed the planes into the Twin Towers were very religious, but were they Godly?

In South Dallas, we have more churches per square block than any other part of the city and yet we have the highest crime rate and the highest police presence. Could it be that we seek religion instead of God first?

Jesus asked, “Can a man gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles?” Can an ungodly preacher or priest transfer spiritually. A mechanic can transfer his knowlege and experience to fix your car and a dentist can transfer his knowledge to fix your teeth, but what would an ungodly preacher transfer? The preacher can read and quote scriptures all day and not be able to transfer something that he does not have, which is spirituality. A preacher who is an pedophile, a socialist, a homosexual, or an abortionist can only transfer his ungodliness to his congregation. Lets follow Jesus and seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and not the kingdom of religion first.
