RNC Usually Backs Establishment Republicans: Sarah Palin SHOULD NOT Become Chair of the RNC
by Shirley Spellerberg on November 10, 2010 at 5:16 PM
The quickest way to render Sarah Palin’s leadership ineffective would be to have her become the Chair of the Republican National Committee! The RNC, the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee and the National Congressional Campaign Committee are notorious for supporting Republicans in Name Only (RINOS). That is why all of my campaign donations have gone directly to Conservative candidates only.
Sarah’s effectiveness is rooted in her freedom to praise, or criticize, Republican and Democrat candidates and officeholders. Her success in helping to elect men and women of principle to the U.S. Congress stems from her grassroots rhetorical freedom and her endorsement of constitutional conservatives (with the exception of John McCain).
If not Sarah, Who?
Ken Blackwell is the Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment at the Family Research Council, and the Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow for Public Policy at the Buckeye Institute in Columbus, Ohio. He is a visiting fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation and the American Civil Rights Union. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Club for Growth, National Taxpayers Union and Pastors Retreat Network. Mr. Blackwell is also the Chairman for the Coalition for a Conservative Majority, and a member of the National Rifle Association’s Public Affairs Committee. He is a columnist for the New York Sun, a contributing editor and columnist for the conservative news and opinion site Townhall.com, and a public affairs commentator for the Salem Radio Network.
Men of Ken Blackwell’s character, articulate knowledge and proven conservative leadership belong in high political office. Until that time, as Chair of the RNC he could help rebuild the Republican Party and see that campaign donations flow to true conservative constitutionalist candidates rather than RINOS.
Where can Sarah be Most Effective in Taking America Back?
Sarah can be most effective in keeping the coalition of conservative Republicans, Reagan Democrats and Independents active in the very important task of holding the legislators at the State and Federal levels accountable in performing the difficult task of reigning in spending, growth of government , Federal mandates.
What Issues Demand our Immediate Attention?
Issues that need immediate attention are Repeal of Obamacare (de-funding until repeal efforts can overcome the presidential veto), Taxation and Spending reductions, Border Security Enforcement, Energy Independence through drilling offshore and elsewhere in America--(no Cap and Tax!), Preservation of our National Sovereignty, Preservation of the Bill of Rights and our Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Ending Federal interference in Education --keep State and Local control of Education curricula and standards.
Close scrutiny of all of these issues will require an informed and activist electorate.
Sarah Palin is best suited as the catalyst for continued and inspirational grassroots activism. Sarah should not be tied to the duties of the Republican National Chair. Her leadership is far more valuable remaining free to speak her mind in support of true conservative constitutional principles and motivating concerned Patriots to act.
