Authorities Warn Texans Not to Visit Mexico

Texas Homeland Security Director Steve McCraw has released a travel warning to Texans to stay out of Mexico. This warming comes after the murder of tourist David Hartley, who was gunned down while jet skiing in Falcon Lake, and the beheading of the lead investigator in Hartley's case.

According to KENS5 News:

Published reports say since 2006 more than 22,700 people have been killed due to an ongoing drug war in Mexico.
Since April 30th, the DPS has documented five incidents involving Americans on Falcon Lake.
