The Iran Nuclear Talks
Tomorrow is the deadline for the United States, Iran, and other nations to come to an agreement regarding the future of Iran’s nuclear activities. I have previously supported sanctions against Iran and I remain very concerned that an agreement would put the regime on a path to developing a nuclear weapon. We cannot let this happen. Earlier this month, I had the honor of attending Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address to Congress. The Prime Minister clearly outlined Iran’s history of terrorism and mistrust. I believe a nuclear Iran would further jeopardize the safety and security of Israel—our greatest friend and ally in the Middle East—as well as American security and our international interests. The Obama administration should stand with our allies and make sure that Iran’s dream of a nuclear weapon never becomes a reality.
