President Obama Closing Guantanamo

President Obama's decision to fulfill an 8 year old campaign promise on his way out the door by unilaterally closing Guantanamo Bay is not only dangerous, it is also illegal. The law -whether he likes it or not- says that any plans to close this facility must go through Congress. The President must provide Congress and the American People details for his unlawful terrorist jail break.

I have personally visited Guantanamo Bay, and there is no better place to keep foreign enemy combatants who have been captured on the battlefield. According to a Director of National Intelligence Report, 116 combatants that have been released have gone back to fight on the battlefield. There is no logical reason that is in the national security of the United States to transfer these terrorists and it is certainly not in the interest of our citizens to place them in in the continental United States.
