The Super Bowl Indicator is a based on a belief that the annual stock market trends are predicted by the winner of the Super Bowl. A Super Bowl win for a team from the AFC division foretells a decline in the stock market for the coming year, and a win for a team from the NFC division means the stock market will be up for the year.
According to Snopes.com, the Super Bowl Indicator has been accurate 32 years out of the past 40.
Since the New Orleans Saints is a NFC team, it looks like the stock market will be on the rise this year!
