Voice of the Conservative Vote: Karin Agness

Karin Agness is the Founder and President of the Network of enlightened Women (NeW), the nation’s premier organization for conservative university women.

She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she founded NeW after a summer internship with Senator Richard Lugar from Indiana. Karin has worked to grow NeW from a book club at one campus into a national organization with chapters at campuses nationwide. Upon graduation from the University of Virginia School of Law, she practiced law at Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, DC. In August 2013, she was named to the Republican National Committee’s Rising Stars program.

Karin is a Senior Fellow with the Independent Women’s Forum. She has been interviewed on national television and radio shows, such as Fox and Friends, Hannity, The Kelly File, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, CNN Early Start and The Monica Crowley Radio Show, and has had editorials published in The Washington Post, The Washington Times, U.S. News Weekly, Politico, The Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Tampa Tribune. One of her stories appeared in the book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Campus Chronicles and her article For Members Only: Feminism on Campus Today was published in the journal of the National Association of Scholars, Academic Questions.

In 2012, Karin was selected for the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Law and Policy. In 2013, she was named to the Maverick PAC 40 under 40 list.

Originally from Indiana, Karin is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.
