What is the Stimulus Package For? Even ol' Uncle Joe Doesn't Know

According to a Fox News article, "Avid train rider and Vice President Joe Biden, on a conference call Monday with reporters, mistakenly claimed that the planned Hudson River tunnel between New Jersey and Midtown Manhattan would provide a much-anticipated route for automobiles." Biden told reporters, "Look, this is designed, this totally new tunnel, is designed to provide for automobile traffic."

The problem is that the tunnel will be used for trains- automobiles are not even part of the plan. America's favorite crazy uncle seems to be completely unaware of this fact.

Yes everyone is allowed to make mistakes, but how about when the mistake is billions of your tax dollars- yes, billions! "The $8.7 billion tunnel is among the largest new projects to be funded in the Obama administration's $787 billion stimulus package."

The Republicans were right to vote against the Stimulus Package- a Washington Post article calls "a smorgasbord of projects that will do little to stimulate the economy."

Please Mr. Vice President, if Congress is going to insist on taking away all our hard-earned money with taxes, at least get your facts straight as to how it will be spent!
