Shooter kills three in Colorado Springs, dies in confrontation with police

A suspect killed three people in a series of shootings in downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday before dying in an exchange of gunfire with police, authorities said. Colorado Springs police responding to an emergency call tracked down the suspect and returned fire after being shot at, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
