Grow the Economy

We have become a bailout nation. Bailouts will not create jobs, nor will burdensome overregulation. The government will manage banks, insurance companies, and automakers the same way it has manages the mail or your local social security office... poorly.

The Texas GOP has to remember that the true engine of job-creation is entrepreneurship and a legal and regulatory structure that encourages and rewards business ventures and success.

Keep Taxes Low

When it comes to taxes and spending, we should make it easy to tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican. Across America and here in Texas, the GOP has lost its credibility on taxing and spending.

In Texas, property taxes are forcing people out of their homes. We are taxing businesses regardless of whether they make a profit. We no longer think of government spending in anything but trillions of dollars. The GOP has to regain its credibility on taxing and spending if it is going to retain its power in Texas and return to power on a national level.

Stop Big Government

Modern Government has become a burden - an obstacle to economic freedom and human liberty. It is the goal of Texas GOP Vote to help our congressional delegation pull the reigns on Big Government by acting as a watchdog, exposing politicians and policies that aim to escape the bounds of the U.S. Constitution.

Fix Immigration

We need a solution when it comes to immigration.

Citizenship via amnesty is not acceptable, but neither is mass deportation. We need a secure border. We need to identify who is here and make sure they are properly taxed.

Texas must lead the way!

Restore Families

We must stand for policies and laws that strengthen and encourage traditional families and respect the value and dignity of human life.

Marriage must be protected. Life must be respected. These policies are not “divisive,” they are essential to a GOP that keeps its core conservative principles.

We must stand for policies and laws that strengthen and encourage traditional families and respect the value and dignity of human life.

Reclaim Education

Our education system should prepare students for tomorrow’s workplace regardless of race, wealth or geographical location. It must build a foundation of fundamental skills while emphasizing core values including strong work ethic, sound judgment, competitiveness and advancement through knowledge.

Teachers, administration and students must be held accountable for competent performance. The system should be free from undue bias, which can distort students' perspectives on the world they must interact with. Programs for vocational career development must be restored so all students can employ their talents and become self-sufficient.
