Addendum to the Autopsy: Team for America

Having finished reading the “Growth and Opportunity Project” report from a blue ribbon panel appointed by Chairman Reince Priebus, it reported seven different areas for improvement in the next campaign cycle. Each area described will likely have appeal to some people. To find your niche to help out, please read the entire report—it’s not that long—located at: growthopp.gop.com/default.aspx and many other sites.

However, I propose an eighth area of improvement. Let me call this the Team for America approach.

Obama is No Bill Clinton!

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen's famous retort to Dan Quayle in the 1988 Vice Presidential debate, Barack Obama is no Bill Clinton. There were three parts to the Bill Clinton Administration. The first part was Clinton going sharply to the left in his first two years, including trying to get his version of Obamacare passed. Influenced by his wife and some of the

Response to Article: Walker's Wisconsin win likely paves end of the road for Democrat party

Okay, I'll grant that big Republican wins in Wisconsin and San Jose, CA are milestones of second thought AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME. But this article is charmingly optimistic. Leftism in human society is more hearty than cockroaches in nature. And they say cockroaches may be the only animal species to survive a nuclear blast.

So people are queasy about massive debt and out-of-control public liabilities. But "death of the Democratic Party?" We're getting a little excited, aren't we? The Democrats will pare back the rhetoric if necessary to accommodate public sentiment. But leftist pandering and envy-peddling isn't going away.

I Was Wrrrr...ong. So Now What? We Can Restore America With Romney

I want to look at the current situation very carefully and imagine a positive course forward. But I have to get a few things out of the way at the top. Anyone who has peaked in at what I’ve written will know that I have assertively opposed Mitt Romney since Herman Cain’s star fell…or was shot down. I never bought the smear of Cain. You should notice that the charges stopped when he withdrew, but they would surely have continued if he hadn’t, especially if he rose in the polls again. I did gag a bit at his 9-9-9 plan, because of the horror of opening a new revenue stream for the federal government.

TX Woman gets over 3000 signatures for Texas Presidential Debate (Mitt Romney & Ron Paul?)

Update: Petition now has over 5000 signatures!

Last weekend at my County Convention in Hardin County, TX, I was pleasantly surprised when a young woman from my county, Chelsea Willis, approached me and said she had a petition with over 3000 signatures on it. The petition was to try to persuade Mitt Romney to come to a Texas Republican Presidential Debate. The petition is titled "Potential Nominees, attend the GOP Debate (Houston, TX on May 24th, 2012)".   Read more »

A Glimmer Of Hope For The Last Conservative Standing!

We must never give up; our founding fathers did not die to make America the heart of freedom just for us to be discouraged because Romney or Gingrich are not our choice candidate. If we give up, what future will we leave our children and grandchildren, a future under socialism and communism? Imagine our future generations living in poverty and without the knowledge of Almighty God.

Rick Santorum suspended his campaign disappointing many of his supporters. Santorum did what he believed to be the right thing to do for himself and his family.

Rick Santorum Drops out of Presidential Race

Rick Santorum is set to announce in Pennsylvania this afternoon that he is suspending his bid for GOP Presidential nominee.

His decision comes after a slew of primary losses made it harder for him to catch Romney in the delegate count and it follows a meeting the former Pennsylvania senator had with conservative leaders last week to discuss his path forward.

Below is the article about Texas GOP Passing a Resolution Warning Romney:

The State Republican Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Texas met for a quarterly meeting on Saturday March 31st, 2012 in Austin, TX.

Several things of importance happened at the meeting, but this article will only cover the resolutions that were passed by the SREC. I will post other articles regarding the other things that happened at the meeting.

There were five resolutions passed at this meeting. The most pressing and striking resolution that passed was a resolution warning Mitt Romney to go to the Texas Presidential Debate that the Republican Party of Texas is putting together before the Texas Primary on May 29th, 2012. Gingrich, Santorum and Paul have accepted the invitation to this nationally televised Texas Presidential Debate. Romney has not accepted.   Read more »

Libertarians Can Save The Republican Party...If They Will Get Real!

As I begin this, I’m hoping to finish while it is still small enough to digest. So I’ll wait for now on details (maybe in the comments?), and say that there is truth in almost everything Ron Paul says. Of course we spend outrageous amounts of money on unconstitutional ventures in this country. And of course we horribly disrespect the integrity of our currency. And even in foreign policy, he’s right that we are overextended around the world and have allowed other countries to rest under an American umbrella of protection and not prepare to defend
