Protecting Your Freedom to Drive a Gas-Powered Car

The House recently Passed H.R. 1435, the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act, which prevents the EPA from imposing new regulations that would ban sales of new motor vehicles with gas-powered internal combustion engines.

Last year, California enacted new requirements on automakers effectively banning the sale of new gas-powered cars and light trucks by 2035 and limiting consumer choice in new vehicles to electric vehicles. The House voted in a bipartisan fashion to reject California’s failed and expensive green energy mandates from spreading to the rest of the nation, invest in liquid fuels to restore American energy independence, make gas affordable again, and secure our energy future.

Electric vehicles are not for everyone. Just ask Secretary Granholm how her recent road trip in an EV went. Spoiler alert: the cops were called.
