Van Duyne Introduces the Strategy to Secure Offshore Energy Act

I recently introduced the Strategy to Secure Offshore Energy Act to direct the Department of the Interior to publish the next five year plan for offshore oil and gas lease sales.

"It is critical that we hold this administration accountable as they continue to run from the ongoing energy crisis," I said. "This legislation is critical for ensuring steady offshore oil and gas production. Without a renewed plan, there is potential for unnecessary delays, creating significant uncertainty for the offshore oil and gas industries. This bill will help provide the certainty necessary for continued investment in offshore production and thus ensuring our domestic energy security."
