McCaul Supports Grants to Help the Music Industry

I co-sponsored the Save our Stages Act, H.R. 7806, to help the music industry, which has been greatly impacted due to COVID-19. 

As a resident of the Austin area, I understand how important the music industry not just for this city, but the rest of America. Sadly, COVID-19 has impacted the industry in a drastic manner, completely shuttering music venues that are economic engines of our communities and supports musicians and other entertainers. Music – and the live concert experience that comes with it – is a vital part of the fabric of American society. I am proud to join my colleagues in supporting legislation that will keep the music playing during these tough times.

The Save our Stages Act will provide grants through the Small Business Administration for producers, promoters, talent representatives and venue owners to ensure they have a financial life vest as they weather COVID-19.
